FC/NES PPU Revision Collection

All PPU models collected for research and documentation purposes.

Composite

Typically found in standard Famicom and NES models.

RP2C02 No Hardest to find model.
RP2C02A Yes Extremely common early revision. Timing differences cause bugs in modern Famicom cartridge boards.
RP2C02B Yes
RP2C02C Yes Seemingly halted in favor of resuming B revision production, thus making it rare.
RC2C02C ??? Unlikely to ever exist outside of one known instance.
RP2C02D Yes Probably the "best" PPU revision to own and develop for alongside 2C02D-0.
RP2C02D-0 Yes Is it really different from RP2C02D?
RP2C02E Yes Sometimes seen without any heat reduction methods.
RP2C02E-0 Yes Is it really different from RP2C02E?
RP2C02G-0 Yes Probably the most common revision.
RP2C02H-0 Yes Laser marked variant only

PAL

Typically found in standard PAL NES models. Intentionally incompatible with Dendy Famiclone standard.

Typically found in "special" consoles by Sharp, or in arcade hardware.
